Bonding

Dental Bonding  is a fast, effective way to restore teeth that have suffered minor damage. During this treatment, a composite resin is placed on the teeth to repair chips and cracks, or to fill in a tooth that has been damaged by decay. We can also sculpt this material to alter the shape or length of the teeth to a patient’s liking. The bonding material mimics enamel and therefore provides a natural-looking finish. Once placed, the bonding material is shaped, polished, and hardened.

Fillings

At Almaden Dental Associates, our goal is to preserve the health of the teeth while keeping aesthetics in mind. Tooth-colored fillings are more natural-looking and safer than alternative silver and mercury fillings. They have also been known to last longer, and add strength to compromised teeth.

Inlays/Onlays

Inlays and onlays can be thought of as more comprehensive tooth fillings, and are used when more than half of a tooth’s upper surface is damaged or weakened. Made of a strong porcelain material, inlays are used solely inside of the tooth, while onlays extend over one of more of the tooth’s cusps. Receiving inlays or onlays can help prevent further decay, and decrease tooth sensitivities.

Sealants

Sealants are a preventative measure that we will take to avoid early decay in anatomically susceptible teeth.  This tooth-colored coating is placed on the most vulnerable areas of the natural tooth, or on top of a pre-existing filling. By sealing out plaque we can often avoid more costly or invasive procedures in the future.

Endodontics

More commonly known as root canal therapy, we are trained and equiped to perform endodontics in most situations.   In the event that complex endodontics may be needed,  our trusted network of endodontist are in the same building and available for referral.

Periodontics

Healthy teeth require healthy gums. Unfortunately, many individuals neglect their gums by not brushing and flossing regularly.

TMJ Therapy

TMJ Disorder  is a painful condition that results from the misalignment of the temporomandibular joint. This can lead to neck and headaches, painful chewing, and erosion of the teeth due to grinding. After a comprehensive evaluation,  we can prescribe a treatment plan that can alleviate discomfort and begin to repair your joints. We also have a Licensed Acupuncturist that can offer you a drug free way to manage your pain from TMJ when pain management becomes challenging.

Oral Cancer Screenings

Early detection of cancer is a key component to treatment and recovery, which is why we incorporates oral Cancer Screening into each appointment. We care about your overall health and are her to help you understand that good health and great teeth are related..
